    Lesson Program

Riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Horseback riding is excellent exercise for children and adults.

    For Children:
Arundel Hill instructors teach children of all ages from lead-line lessons through advanced riders competing at local eventing, dressage and jumper shows.  We have several ponies that are great for the younger riders, and with our extensive experience we teach children to do things the "right way" from the beginning.

    For Adults:
Arundel Hill currently teaches several adults who have either never ridden or hadn't ridden since they were children. Since starting with us they have all (re)discovered their love for riding and now take lessons once or twice a week. Some have even purchased or leased their own horse and now compete (and win) locally. If you have always wanted to try horseback riding or have been out of the saddle for a while, our low-key, fun atmosphere is the perfect place to start!

    Pony Play Dates

We've had many people inquire about lessons or pony rides for their very young children. We typically do not teach children under the age of 5, so we decided  to offer Pony Play Dates. It's a great way to get young children interested in riding with out making a large commitment.
    • For children ages 2-4 years old
    • Ideally a group consists of 2-4 children, though larger groups can be accommodated.
    • Play date includes:
      • grooming and getting the pony ready
      • learning the names of the tack and the parts of a horse
      • lead line pony ride
    • Parental involvement is generally required
    • Cost is $20 per child, and should be scheduled at least a week in advance.
